Pulse is in everything - in people, in nature and in the Universe.
When you reach an idea, the pulse becomes like a speeding horse, driven by adrenaline.
It's like an explosive effect in a calm day.
That is the pulse effect.
The rhythm group PULSE EFFECT is searching and finding various ways to express rhythm. It has brought both the body percussion and free-style genres to Latvia. In the performances you will see that not only classical percussion and drums are being used, but also fire, LED and UV lights, ice, sand, water and all kinds of different objects.
Multiple performances have been staged by the PULSE EFFECT:
Spēks (choreographed by Anna Ķirse de Castello), premiered in the Small stage at Dailes theater;
No Drums, No Problems (choreographer/director Guntis Spridzāns), premiered at the cabaret theater Artelis;
Inficētais (performed by folk dance collective Katvari, choreographer - Gints Dancītis), premiered at Limbaži, at the Pavement manufacturing hangar.
PULSE EFFECT is regularly collaborating with various artists, especially with singer Leila Alijeva, which has brought to fruition multiple creations and recordings.
The creator of the band, a specialist of percussion instruments and a composer Dzintars Vīksna created the PULSE EFFECT in order to experiment with genres, sound sources, physics and the possibilities of the human body, gathering more and more supporters and members. At this moment such members as Kristaps Krolls, Gints Dancītis, Matīss Akuraters, Uldis Žeidurs, Aigars Larionovs
